History of Midwest Fence
Thomas Corrigan II began his career in fencing in the early 1940's selling steel posts to farmers out of the back of his car. Mr. Corrigan decided to open his own fence company at that time, dealing primarily with agricultural fence products. America was about to realize an explosion in the construction industry and some of the best economic times this country had ever seen. And soon Midwest Fence grew to meet the demands of the residential market.
Mr. Corrigan was a hard working man with a heart for his customers. He cultivated his work ethic and passion for quality in his employees. He brought out an atmosphere of mutual respect that most companies today would greatly admire. The company's main competitors in those days were Montgomery Wards and Sears.
We have seen many changes over the years, but have always been customer-focused and a quality house for all fencing products. Midwest Fence is still family owned and operated. Tom Corrigan Jr. now runs the company of approximately 100 employees. We have very dedicated people who understand the importance of carrying on this tradition, which started 75 years ago.
